This is an unbelievable piece! It is in wonderful condition considering its age. The top of the desk has a leather writing area – blotter. There is an area cut out to hold a pen or pencil and it still has its original cast iron and glass inkwell that opens and closes very nicely! The top of the desk lifts open and the hinges still are in perfect working order. The front of the desk is stamped Williamatic and under the stamp are four drawers. The drawers are all dovetailed and read: Cord, Cotton Six and Spool. There are porcelain knobs on the drawers which I believe were replaced. The back of the desk is just as nice with the red star Williamatic seal. It measures 33.75 x 22.75 x 31”. It is truly a beautiful desk - spool cabinet the pictures just can not do it justice!
